Why Cutting Calories And Skipping Meals Is Making You Fatter

20 December 2009 No Comment

Have you been cutting calories?

Skipping meals in an attempt to lose weight?

If you answered yes, then this will be one of the most important letters you will ever read.

Here's why...

I've never met a single person who has transformed their body by starving themselves.

Truth is... most people actually murder their chances of losing any significant weight the very minute they begin cutting calories.

And even more scary is the FACT that when you try to lose weight this way, you begin to destroy your metabolism. This is scary because it will eventually cause you to get fatter.

It is the exact reason why the vast majority of those who diet end up with increased levels of excess fat.

They simply don't eat enough. As a result their body goes into survival mode and it begins to store elevated levels of the food you eat.

Chances are you have come to believe that you are overweight simply because you eat to much. This is why it can be so difficult to understand that many times eating more is the key to getting rid of your excess fat.

Now I'm not talking about eating huge meals here.

I'm talking about continually eating throughout the day.

There is a very big difference.

Let's say you consume two thousand calories per day. Basically there are two different ways to do this...

1. You can eat a few very big meals.

2. YOU can eat several smaller meals

The second is far superior.

The reason is that when you are "grazing" throughout the day your metabolism is forced to run continuously. That means you are in a continuous state of breaking down the food you eat.

And this is the key to losing fat.

When your body continuously has food "on hand" it has no need to store it. There is no "famine" state as there is with cutting calories.

So for the most part... your body will use the calories it needs and eliminate the ones it does not.

Now there are certainly some additional factors that can effect this.

First and foremost, if you are eating nothing but junk food then your body is not going to respond very well even if you do "graze" throughout the day.

Secondly, if you don't spread your meals out evenly then this isn't going to work very well.

But, provided that you are eating a fairly decent diet and spreading your meals out about every 2 - 3 hours, then there is no reason you won't get very quick results.

It is important to note that if you have been stuck in a pattern of cutting calories in an attempt to lose weight... or eating only three large meals a day... then it can take your body a few days to get into the rhythm of grazing throughout the day.

This means is could take a few days before any serious results begin to occur.

But stick with it... because when the results come, they tend to come very quickly.
